Maria Ocampo, B.A.
Maria is a first-year doctoral student at the PGSP-Stanford Psy.D. Consortium and a student therapist at the Center for m2health's clinic. As one of the student therapists, she will help investigate the effects of blended mental health treatment by integrating mobile interventions with psychotherapy in an effort to augment the efficacy of therapy results.
Before joining the m2health team, Maria graduated from Boston College where she received a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. During her undergraduate studies, she worked at the Anna Freud Centre in London where she helped conduct research on attachment and bereavement, and also worked in study on childhood Conduct Disorder. After graduation, Maria worked at American Express's Digital Marketing division, where she was in charge of finding solutions to optimize sales and conversion on their website. Currently, her research interests include studying the optimization of psychotherapy with technology interventions, specifically for anxiety disorders. She is also passionate about working with the Latino population, and in the future hopes to help disseminate evidence-based web and mobile interventions in developing countries where impoverished people have little to no access to mental health services.
